SUN Neighborhood-wide Yard Sale

What it is:

A Neighborhood-wide Yard Sale that will bring dozens of people to buy your things!

How it works:
Sign up! You sign up to participate using the attached Participation Form. SUN asks for a $5 donation per participant to help support neighborhood programs like this.

2. Get your items ready! List all your items for sale on the form. SUN organizers will contact you to pick up the form with your list, and your check, and will take one picture of your featured items for sale. Your photo and list will appear in a colorful Craigslist ad the week before the event. It includes a map showing all participants.

3. Call attention to your sale! You are encouraged to buy a reusable SUN Yard Sale banner and tall pole that stands in your yard and calls attention to your sale, and enters you in a drawing for prizes. Bargain hunters driving through will be drawn to your sale first.

4. Visit your neighbors’ sales! If you buy the banner, you get 5 SUN exchange tickets. Just visit 5 neighbors who also bought the banner, and exchange a ticket with each of them.

5. Meet after at the Ice Cream Social! Everyone in the neighborhood is invited for free ice cream from 3-4pm at O’Donnell’s Garden Park. You can continue swapping your tickets at the Social.

6. Claim your prize! The first 10 participants who have swapped all 5 tickets with different neighbors are eligible for prizes of goods or services, donated by local merchants and worth $20- $50. The drawing takes place at 4pm at the park.
