School of Arts & Culture at the Mexican Heritage Plaza

1700 Alum Rock Avenue, San Jose, CA 95116

Kim Walesh, the Director of Economic Development for the City of San Jose, will discuss some of the changes our cities face in the coming decades and their positive impact on our local economies if we respond effectively. Walesh will highlight strategies cities can take to not only ensure they are healthy and resilient economically but also environmentally and socially. Afterward, we’ll strategize solutions and next steps together with Chris Bui, master interactive facilitator. No charge, open to the public, light dinner provided.

JOIN US

for the fourth Healthy Communities Forum and explore how the various facets of the health of our cities economic, environmental, and social intersect. Each Forum is a unique opportunity for decision makers, community leaders, and the general public to listen to visionary speakers share their knowledge related to a specific aspect of a healthy community. Participants engage in dialogue to connect the vision of a healthy community to their own community, discuss solutions, and together decide on meaningful next steps. Future talks include housing, public health, and habitat preservation.
